Dillon is a tiny town (population 904) that sits on the breathtaking Dillon Reservoir. As it’s on the way to Breckenridge, we definitely recommend a pit stop here.
PS: If nothing below strikes your fancy, Yelp is a great resource.

Eat / Drink
Dillon Dam Brewery: We haven’t been here but they’ve got stellar reviews. They’re family-friendly, serve craft beers and don’t accept reservations. And, they’re known as the largest brewpub in the Colorado Rockies.
Cafe Profusion: This is an Asian-Fusion hole-in-the-wall.
Arapahoe Cafe: A quaint BBQ joint.

Hiking: We highly recommend a quick pit stop at Sapphire Point Overlook Trail. It’s quick, easy and absolutely stunning. And, you just may see a wedding occurring at this popular matrimonial spot. If you’re looking for something harder, we recommend downloading the AllTrails app to find the hike that’s right for you. You can filter by distance, difficulty, and more.
Mountain Biking: Whether you’re a newbie or a pro, there are a ton of trails nearby. Hook up with Jim Pawell, Mikey Pawell, George Logan and Tyler Sieve if you want buddies to ride with. You can rent gear from Endurance Cycling Lab.
Fishing: Weather permitting, there are some great spots to fish in Dillon (including ice fishing). Some places to rent gear or get a guide include: Big Ed’s Fishing Ventures, Silver Flash Fishing, and Alpine Fishing Adventures.
Yoga: There are a couple of studios in town. Try Elements Wellness or Body Essentials Pilates.
Dillon Reservoir & Marina: The views are spectacular on the reservoir. If the weather is warm, there are all sorts of water activities you can do: boating, stand up paddling, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, etc.
