The main event will be occurring on October 13, 2019 in Breckenridge.
Yes, it is a Sunday. Monday, October 14th is Columbus Day, which you may or may not have off.
Either way, we’re hoping you’ll ideally join us for Thursday – Monday (October 10-14). You’ve waited this long for us to tie the knot…so we’re hoping you’ll make a mini-vacation of it.
Expect details in a few months about all the extracurricular activities planned for the weekend. Here’s the tentative schedule:

Hosted by Dewain and Jenny Campbell, join us at the Carter Park Pavilion for even more food, drinks and entertainment. Weather permitting, we’ll get a good volleyball game going.

When to arrive & depart
We recommend flying into Denver sometime on Friday (at the latest) and getting into Breckenridge by Saturday afternoon, if not earlier. If you’re leaving on Monday, we suggest an evening flight so you have time to sleep in, grab brunch with us and get back to Denver in a leisurely manner.
A note about attire
In general, Colorado is a pretty casual place. It’s not uncommon to see people wearing hiking boots and a baseball cap in some of the nicer placer places in town. So feel free to leave your fanciest attire at home, unless you just want to show off your cutest duds…we’re cool with that too.
For the wedding, because the weather could be gorgeous, sunny and warm OR snowing / raining, windy and cold (it can change on a dime), we recommend a few things:
- Check the forecast before you depart. This may be accurate.
- Consider bringing two options, especially if you’re female (a shorter dress and a longer dress). A pashmina or scarf is not a bad idea either.
- Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outside on grass. The reception will be indoors on hardwood floor. Feel free to wear whatever shoes you’re comfortable wearing for grass and hardwood.
- If you’re male, do bring a blazer or suit jacket. You might want it if the weather is chilly.
For the rest of the trip, the key to being adaptable to Colorado’s ever-changing climate is to bring light layers. There’s a saying here: “If you don’t like the weather, wait 10 minutes” that pretty accurately sums up all the seasons that can happen in one day.
If you don’t have any down clothing, we swear by these two items from Uniqlo — Women’s jacket + vest / Men’s jacket + vest. They are light, pack up really small, keep you nice and toasty, aren’t super expensive (as far as down apparel goes), and are easy to carry with you throughout the day.
Other items you might want to pack:
- Baseball cap and/or beanie: It really depending on the weather forecast…you might want both.
- Hiking boots / tennis shoes: In case you want to partake in anything active…like hiking, biking or just bar hopping.
- Swimsuit: There are lots of hot tubs up in Breck.
- Sunglasses: Native Coloradans love to boast that the state has 300 days of sun every year.
- A water bottle: Staying hydrated is key at these high altitudes.)
- Moisturizer and/or lotion: It’s ridiculously dry here.
- Sunscreen: Remember all that sun we mentioned?
