Less than 10 miles away from Breckenridge, we definitely recommend stopping in Frisco. It’s one of our favorite places in Summit County for a weekend away. Plus, if you ever come back for ski season, Frisco sits right in between 4 major resorts: Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Arapaho Basin and Keystone.
PS: If nothing below strikes your fancy, Yelp is a great resource.

Eat / Drink
Prosit: This is one of our favorite places in town. Uber-casual, this German joint has communal tables where you can grab an assortment of sausages and beer. In our opinion, it’s a must-do.
Butterhorn Bakery & Cafe: There is ALWAYS a wait here, but the pancakes and milkshakes are worth it according to Cam. Don’t go here if you’re looking for a light meal.
Vinny’s Euro American Restaurant: This place has delicious food…and is definitely on mountain time when it comes to service. If you’re looking for somewhere quick, you might want to look elsewhere.
Bread + Salt: We’ve never been here but have heard great things about their breakfast.
Rocky Mountain Coffee Roasters: Awesome local coffee joint. We stop here every time we’re in town.
Hacienda Real: A local told us the espresso burrito and the flan are a must. (We haven’t been here…yet.)
Outer Range Brewing: This brewery has a cool ambiance and great beers.
Tavern West: Great happy hour and a rotating draft of Colorado beers.
See / Do / Shop
There is stellar hiking all around Frisco. We recommend downloading the AllTrails app to find the hike that’s right for you. You can filter by distance, difficulty, and more. One of our favorite trails is the North Ten Mile Creek Trail.
Mountain Biking: Whether you’re a newbie or a pro, there are a ton of trails nearby. Hook up with Jim Pawell, Mikey Pawell, George Logan and Tyler Sieve if you want buddies to ride with. You can rent gear from Pioneer Sports, Recycle Ski & Sport, Rebel Sports, and Christy Sports.
Fishing: Weather permitting, there are some great spots to fish in Breck. Some places to rent gear or get a guide include: Trouts Frisco and Epic Mountain Gear.
Yoga: There are a couple of studios in town. Try Summit Hot Yoga, Summit County Yoga Project, and Wishing Tree Wellness.
Take home a souvenir: This antique and Colorado-themed shop is funky and right next to Prosit, one of our favorite restaurants in town.
Frisco Adventure Park: There’s plenty to do at the Frisco Adventure Park no matter what the weather is…biking, skating, disc golf, tubing and more.
Frisco Day Lodge: This overlooks the Dillon Reservoir and has a stunning view. And, it’s conveniently right next to the Frisco Adventure Park.
Frisco Bay Marina: Weather permitting, you can rent kayaks, canoes, stand up paddleboards, pedal boats, sailboats, and more at the marina. It’s gorgeous on the lake and something we’ve enjoyed doing when it’s warm. (Cam says beware of the wind, as it can knock even the most seasoned of SUP-ers in the icy water.)
Take a glassblowing class: This local artist opens up his studio to the public for classes.
Sample the cannabis products: While we don’t partake in this kind of extracurricular activity, inevitably every time a visitor comes into town we visit the dispensaries. Local spots in Frisco include: Native Roots and Herbal Bliss.
